As he was about to enter the house, Diddy glanced towards the bridge whilst blinking...



...while the metallic being quickly slipped back into hiding; observing these crocodile-like beings. ...more Mobian-like creatures...

She looked out and sighed. "Klump and pals, guess they're off vacation..."

Grinning, he kept punching his palm, in a threatening manner. "Been wondering where you scaly chumps been hiding at."

"We just needed some time to re-supply our ammo, ape. This time, we got an upgrade in our arsenal."

And the Kremlings formed a blockade, and aimed their weapons at the hut. These weapons were almost as big as bazookas.

"...c'mon, you think that's gonna help?" Diddy hummed, as he folded his arms. "We can still take you on, Kremlings! Like we've always kicked your sorry butts!"



Narrowing his eyes, the metallic being closed his eyes. ...deploy. Surround them all.

Numerous jet sounds were heard, but before they could be noted...

...a squad of red sleek robots hovered from the sky and surround the hut and Kremlings.



Leaping from the great height, below, in the forest, came the shields robots the Kongs met, setting a perimeter on the bridge.

"Them again?!?" he gasped, surprised there were more. But since they were here, along with the Kremlings... "I knew they belong to you!!" he accused Klump.

Sweating, his knees rattled. "Uh...I have no involvement with these....scary robots..." he shuddered, as he and his men were surrounded between the shielded robots.

Diddy gawked at that. "...what's going on?" he uttered.



"Allow me to explain."



Diddy glanced behind him...



...to see the metallic being approach the group; his arms folded behind his back. "As of this moment, this island is under the rule of Doctor Ivo Robotnik. I would advise you to toss your weapons aside, and..." His gaze fell on Diddy. "...hand over that gem."



Diddy reeled back from that cold gaze.

"What the-" Dixie looked up at the robot with wide eyes, "Where... where did that come from?"

Kiddie was old enough to know that thing wasn't friendly.

She stepped out too, looking up at the robot. "Yeah, right. Do you know where you are? This is Congo Bongo. We beat incompetent reptiles before and we can beat you!" Sick burn toward Krump and co.

"HEY!!" they cried, insulted by her comment...but when the robots aimed their weapons at them, the crocs instantly dropped their own and raised their arms.

"I don't think so, buddy!" he gritted, cracking his knuckles. "You got ten seconds to vamoose before you're recycled can!"

"...funny." he remarked, as his gaze fell coldly on DK. "I could say the same; you have ten seconds to surrender before you're bloody monkey chunks."



Diddy just narrowed his eyes at that threat.



Looking towards the robot horde, he nodded. "If they do not comply, leave none alive... save the chimpanzee. I'll kill him myself, in that case."

"We'll see about that, KIDDY!"

The toddler kong picked up his cousin,


"Uh? Wait, I didn't mean-"

Then he threw her at a robot.

"Kiddy!" She frowned and sighed. But ran at another robot, thrusting a kick up at it's head.

"Keep back!" he cried, pulling Candy away from danger. Quickly, he sprung onto a barrel, with springs between it, and stomped on it.

The bridge boards snapped up high, catapulting the shielded robots down into the jungle heights.

"Yeah...that's why we didn't advance over the bridge..."

The sleek red robots responded to that retaliation, and fired massive energy beams from their cannons.

"Whoa!!" DK quickly pinned down Candy before a beam shot overhead....and demolished a large hole on Cranky's large hut.

"HEY!!!" Thankfully, Cranky didn't seem to have been struck by that powerful beam... but boy, oh boy, he didn't sound happy. "CAN'T YOU TAKE OUT KREMLINGS AND BADNIKS WITHOUT CAUSING COLLATERAL DAMAGE?! WHAT KIND OF CRYSTAL COCONUT GUARDIAN ARE YA SUPPOSED TO BE, YOU WHIPPERSNAPPER?!"



"Haaah!" Quickly, Diddy scurried away from the hail of beams firing at him...



...when in a flash, Metal had rocketed into him and pinned him against the ground. "Now..." Raising his hand, he glared at Diddy. "...give me the gem, and I'll at least make it painless."



Diddy grit his teeth; weakly whipping his tail against the robot as he glanced at the gem...

...but it wasn't there. "...uh?"



Blinking, Metal slowly glanced upwards...

...to see the gem being carried away by... thin air.



As the gem made a great leap from where the bridge began to where it ended, it landed by the Kremlings. "...don't just stand there! Pick up your weapons and fire back, you simpering reptiles!" a familiar voice to everyone present, sans the robots, would snarl.



"...no way!"



...invisible. Metal's eyes narrowed, as he switched to infra-red sighting, which allowed him to trace a much larger crocodile standing between the soldier Kremlings.

She gasped when DK pulled her around and away from danger. She would have complained to DK, but she was distracted by the voice. "Oh no..." She looked up, hoping it wasn't who she thought it was.
