Sundown....sundown over a dark smoggy city...  All would seem quiet in this vile looking city; with no intention of harming the planet. But... Light on the buildings lit to life...  BGM: Look-Alike (Sonic OVA)With the large neo statue, surrounding the main city, it seems it has vile plans for the world.  The nefarious Dr. Eggman has finally collected the world's fabled power source, the seven Chaos Emeralds. Because of this, it will attract his greatest foe to his city. So he had the entire city on alert to keep the rodent busy. Yes, every corner, every street, was surrounded by orb-shaped tanks, and giant mechs, on stand by for any intruders. |

...followed by a red bi-plane shooting through the night sky after the blue blur.  Perched atop one of the tallest buildings in the city was a metallic hedgehog watching the horizon patiently; he had already noticed the increase in energy. ...he's coming... |

And suddenly, a rain of bombs came down toward the intruders.

As for the biplane, it spun around in the air to narrowly allow the bombs to miss it, as it ascended to give the hedgehog some room.  "Just keep going straight, Sonic, and we'll be at Eggman's headquarters!" the two-tailed fox piloting said biplane called out. Even perched atop this building, the metallic hedgehog could identify both the blue blur and the fox. ...target sighted. With a leap, he descended towards the ground level; his eyes narrowing in anticipation of combat. |

 He glided down the city's skies, while he avoided the worse of the bombs, when the exploded it sent him tumbling in the sky, making it hard to control. Oh, you better owe me for this Sonic!Course, Eggman has all seven emeralds. While he tried not to be concern with the outside world, he couldn't ignore the situation at hand, now. |

Seeing the hedgehog getting in range of their sights, the orb tanks unleashed rapid fire of machine cannons. A horde of bullets shot across the street, no normal being can get through.

No normal being? That is true... One problem... Sonic is not normal... The way he danced around the bullets, jumping over them, running around them, he laughed as he kept going as if he bullets are just water that doesn't even touch him... |

Keeping out of range from the projectiles fired from the cannons, the fox looked down at the city below him whilst keeping an eye on the hedgehog running ahead... ...until something else appeared in the path of the biplane. " Miles Prower... prepare for emergency landing." Without even flinching, the metallic hedgehog fired a beam directly from his chest, which cleanly blasted off part of the biplane's left wing. "...no!" With part of the plane destroyed, he was rapidly losing control over the aircraft; pulling back as much he could so he wouldn't take a rapid nose-dive towards the city. |

He was nearly going to crash right through a crumbled building, but then a fist came and smashed the rest to pebbles, giving Tails a safe opening to land.

Since the first line of defense was breeched through, large mech, with very thick armor activated and stepped out of their military shafts.
The moment Sonic would even get close to the front doors of Eggman's base, two massive mechs appeared, smashing out from the metal floors.

As the plane came screeching to a halt within the building, Tails fell back and breathed out. "...huh..." he sighed, as he rubbed his head, before glancing out of a hole in the building... ...where he saw the same robotic hedgehog rocketing towards Eggman's base. |
