Status:
Bandits, Inventors and Pyrotechniciansand show hosts
World:
Mushroom World
Location:
Yoshi's Island
Abilities:
First of all, Bandits as they are, they got a knack for the arts of theft and banditry. If they want something they surely know how to get it (though with these two it's usually done with some hair-brained contraption). Their normal physical attacks include body slamming their foes to make them drop whatever it is they're holding that the brothers want.
Secondly they're exceptional engineers, with Adam focused on mechanics and electronics and Jamie on circuitry and gadgeteering. In short this means that Adam makes the gadgets while Jamie makes them work in unintended ways as well. Their Ray Guns, for example, are a team-effort between the two brothers. Adam designed and made a stun-gun to help them in their efforts, while Jamie finely-tuned it and added more modes and weaponry to it to further serve their common efforts, like a freeze-ray and a fireball-shooter.
In addition to their raygun they have other varied devices to assist them, such as smokescreens, night-vision goggles, gluebombs, and similar stuff. And while they do work with gadgets a lot, when it comes to actual combat Jamie prefer long range attacks with his upgraded ray gun and Adam go about equal usage of his close-combat devices and the ray gun.
Weakness:
Being Bandits, they love everything that is shiny. Once they see something sparkly and/or valuable they almost instinctually want to steal it and run away. No matter whether it be a golden coin, a shiny key, candy from a baby, or even the baby itself from a Yoshi's back, the Bandits want it.
Adam's nickname, "the Savage", ain't just for flash. The guy's got somewhat of a hot head and has a tendency to rush into things before thinking them through. This is also shown in his devices, as he usually rush to finish them so that he can start on his next project. He's mind is fleet and his brain scattered, and the more things he can do at the same time the better. A man of action rather than reaction, so to speak.
Hindsight Jamie, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of his colleague. Where Adam rush Jamie pace, and when Adam spread Jamie focus. Fine details and precision are Jamie's forte, to the grade where he usually loose track of the big picture. He can find himself so engulfed in his projects he almost forget the rest of the world actually exists, and want as many facts as possible before heading into action. A man of reaction rather than action, as opposed to his brother.
POW Move:
The brothers can supercharge their weaponry, and thus use them to an enhanced ability than usual. This does however deplete the battery pack, turning the guns useless until they can recharge them back in their lab. When under the influence of a Power Flower or a Golden Shield however, this works as an extra battery pack and allows them to unleash a supercharge and still retain use of their weapon.
Chaos/Magic Ability:
Chaos Emeralds and objects of strong magical power enables the brothers to power up great machines they wouldn't otherwise be able to use. Big walkers, flying machines, and the like. This, of course, means that they have to construct them first... but its a start!
Personality:
The Bandit brothers are to a similar extent flashy in their actions, they both fight for the common goal of riches and power and they are both highly intelligent in the fields of engineering and not as , but that's about the length of their similarities. Where Adam is voiced Jamie is quiet; where Adam is rushed Jamie is paced; Adam is scattered and Jamie is focused; Adam act before he think, and Jamie think about how to react. They're as different as two flashy scientists can be, and to that extent complement each other rather well.
History:
Adam and Jamie, as well as the rest of the Bandit subspecies, began their lives as magically modified soldiers in Bowser's Army, transformed from Shy Guys by Kamek and the Magikoopas way back when Bowser still was a baby living in the castle on Yoshi's Island. Their purpose was to steal Baby Mario from the Yoshis, a task they failed at again and again. Following Bowser's defeat, as well as the destruction of said castle, the Bandits spread over the island and went native. Adam and Jamie, however, began rebuilding and took parts of the castle in possession as their own.
Now, many years later, Bandits have begun spreading all across the Mushroom World. While most common in the Dry Dry Desert and in Rogueport, as well as on Yoshi's Island, they can be seen all over the lands (while still rather thievy in their doings). The brothers, however, have since managed to not only repair and even enhance parts of Bowser's old castle, but even surpassed him in technical knowledge and engineering. They now fight along their old orders to cause mayhem and gain power, but for themselves rather than any great overlord.
Sample:
"Prepare for trouble!" a voice said from the jungle.
"And make it double!" another chimed in with the first.
Then, the strange little orb started spewing out thick smoke, soon filling the glade with a heavy smog. In the midst of all the coughing the contours of two beings could be seen leaping out of the bushes and landing on the other side of the glade.
"To protect the world from all its riches;"
"To become this island's greatest snitchers;"
"To take what is yours and do it with a blast;"
"To create technology that is unsurpassed;"
The smog finally cleared, revealing on the other side of the glade two Bandits, turned away from the trio with their arms crossed, each carrying some sort of ray gun in their outer hands.
"Adam!" said the one on the left, dressed in a red camouflage-patterned robe and sporting a brown fedora on his head, as he turned his head towards them.
"Jamie!" said the one on the right, having a robe which was green where Adam's was red and with a black beret in place of Adam's fedor, as he too faced them.
"Team Sprocket, technology is our forte and niche!" said Adam, as he pointed his gun at the two Yoshis and the Shy Guy.
"Now do as we say or prepare to put on a leash!" followed Jamie, pointing his own gun at the trio in the glade.
"Capiche?" they finally said in unison. A click could be heard, and sparks could soon be seen jumping between the collars of the ray guns. Locked and loaded, as one would say.
Anything Else?:
These two originated in my thread on Yoshi's Island. At first I planned for these to be mere ordinary Bandits on the hunt for a shiny gem, nothing special or out of the ordinary.
They then evolved into the one-shot villains the Bandit Bros. (Jelly Jamie and Joss the Jaguar), who's only fate was to steal the gem and then be blasted off by someone or something, never to be seen again.
From there on they first became Team Rocket inspired (because it would be an awesome enterance) and finally further transformed into a pair of Mythbuster based villains out for fame, power and money: Adam the Savage and Hindsight Jamie of Team Sprocket, parodies as well as dark versions of our beloved dynamic duos the Mythbusters and Team Rocket.
