Yoshi Island - Early Birds

The jungle was mostly quite this early in the morning, with the nocturnals finally going to bed and the others just waking up. A lone bird was out munching on some berries when the silence was loudly and abruptly disturbed by something crashing down from the trees above. With a startled squawk the bird flew away, leaving the strange thing behind as he searched for a calmer neighbourhood. The thing moaned - or, well, whistled - and finally rose from the ground where it had landed.

He had somewhat of a headache, but was otherwise fine. He looked around him, noticing the stupid bird had dropped him in the middle of a forest... or perhaps it was a jungle? He wasn't really sure about that either. He had managed to get a lift with a Roc the other day, but apparently was dropped off onto a tree... or something. In any case, here he were. Now to get out of here... wherever here is, and whatever way is out. He looked around, and started walking in a random direction.

The blue yoshi adjusted the feather on his head. It had been months since he last visited the isla and now, being the leader in Yoshi woods, he was here for an important meeting with the leader of the island. He was really nervous to say the least.

"Huh?!"

Something fell from the sky and landed in the forest. His curiosity got the better of him and he ran into the forest to see what it was.

The blue yoshi would soon be joined by a red yoshi

"Cheif! Chief! Did you see that... Thing?"

Kage turned to the other yoshi.



"Yeah I saw it. I was just about to head of to see what it was. Oh and for the record, I'm not actually the Chief of this village. I'm chief of the village near the Mushroom Kingdom. Just here for a meeting. Until I saw that thing anyways."

He continued to walk over toward where Phanto Guy had fallen.

The jungle seemed nearly endless! For every tree he passed three more seemed to take its place. Yet he strode on, knowing he couldn't simply sit around and do nothing. He pushed another branch out of the way and continued onwards, passing more and more vegetation and plantlife.

Suddenly he began to hear something. *tap, tap, tap* Footsteps! From more than one being, from the sound of it. Quickly scanning his surroundings he found a bush suitable for his cause, and leapt into it. A good hiding place was the best way to survive a hostile encounter. And if they weren't hostile... well, it would be his lucky day then, wouldn't it? He silently pushed a few branches out of the way, keeping his gaze towards the approaching footsteps.

The 2 yoshis reached a small clearing with a crater near the center.

"This is where it landed, see anything?"

"Nothing, what do you think that was?"

He circled the area a few time trying to see if he could find any clues.

Phanto Guy followed the two Yoshis, silently, as they passed by him where he laid hid. He followed them past where he had woken up earlier, but remained out of sight as they entered the clearing. While the two didn't appear to be hostile, one couldn't be to sure! After all, you should never judge a book by its cover! Phanto Guy kepts his place within the bushes, out of sight and out of mind.



Meanwhile, deep inside the foliage, something stirred. Neither seen nor heard, but still there. It moved forward, slowly, towards the crash site. Whatever it was it had been seen from far away, and most likely everyone and their grandmother would be curious about... whatever it was in that crater.

The blue yoshi just sighed as he looked around.



"I knew I should of gone straight to the meeting."

He then noticed something in the middle of the crater.

"Wait a second. Is that the Jade that's supposed to be in the Raven statue?"

From what I heard it was rumored to dissapear!"

Kage began to move toward the gem in the crater.

Meanwhile, woods searched the area around the crater.

"Whoa!"he jumped back in surprise

Kage turned back to Woods.



"What is it? Maybe we found something important to the village."

[koopatroopa14]

@woods@ "I...I don't know. I could've sworn I a saw somthing... Or someone. It's nothing. I'll keep looking" and with that he continued his search around the crash site

Phanto Guy pushed himself against the tree, heart still pounding in his little chest. That had been way to close... he slowly crept forward to peer through the bush, curious about the strange gem they said to have found in the crater. Gems weren't that common, and neither were rocks from space, so to find both in the same day had to be some kind of stroke of luck... or something!



Meanwhile, whatever it was that hid deep in the jungle quickly made its way forward as soon as they heard the word "Jade". The silent patter of feet could soon be heard closing in on the scene, rushing forward to get a glimpse of the priceless nugget that hid in the glade.

After surveying the area, woods returned to the spot where he saw the mystery thing. He moved some bushes and found Phanto Guy

"Oh! Hello! I knew I saw somthing. What do people call you, bud?"

Kage moved to the "Jade" and picked it up.



"This looks nothing like the Jade... What is this thing. It looks more like... some sort of diamond? I can't tell."

He turned back to Woods and spotted Phanto Guy.

"Wait who's this? Looks like a shy guy."
